One of the staging tricks called "Saturday Night Live" is often used as a cold open. "Live in New York, Saturday night!" -To run a series of characters on stage for a simple joke. In the last few years, the characters were generally political figures, often associated with the Trump administration. But this Saturday, the show turned to the supporters of President Donald Trump.
Alec Baldwin, who was preparing for a rally in Albuquerque, returned to his version of Trump, holding a sign of "women for Trump" to many supporters. (Get quick props on the show to find lots of extras. Everyone keeps participating and participates in the entire sketch.)
The sketch began with an easy joke. Trump greets New Mexico, "My favorite Mexico so far." He calls the city "Albacore", "the tuna capital of the United States." But Baldwin's Trump brings a series of supporters to inform fans of "what's really happening in this country."
It starts with normal people because there is no better word. Cecily Strong portrays Christine of Las Cruces in a "KEEM AMARICA GREAB AGRAIN" (sic) t-shirt (she says she used the word exactly in Trump tweets). She is mostly concerned about the "deep state lizard plot" everyone is involved, including "CIA, FBI, MIC, KEY and MOUSE".
Then there's a biker in a leather vest from Mikey Day, Trump's biker. "If they try to get rid of you, we all ride bikers, we will ride." "It's the only thing we do."
He was followed by an unnamed supporter of Aidy Bryant who recognized Trump as "one true white monarch." She reads "Michel Obama's title" ##; Becoming & # 39; "backwards and spells" #Gni Moc Eb & # 39; "found on the witch thesaurus. And if you spell "#sna" backwards, the spell "#trans" will come to us! Work starts fast Lindsey Graham of Kate McKinnon arrives next, but at first Trump thinks he is a "scoop of ice cream that melts in a suit" and conveys originality in Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie". What surprised the sketch the most was the randomness of the characters. Why is Bill Clinton? Probably because Hammond was available.
