AJK PM laments inaction over LoC shelling Pakistan

MUZAFFARABAD: It was regrettable that statements about the situation along the Control Line (LoC) abounded, but so far no action has been seen on the ground, said Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider on Friday .

"Yesterday, a man and his [12-year-old] son was martyred in the valley of Neelum. This child would have become a source of strength for his parents and siblings, but he was a victim of the aggression of India. A few days ago, another father and son lost their lives in the Indian bombings in Nauseri. How long will this last, ”he said, his voice broken by emotion, at the stone-laying ceremony of a new building for Muzaffarabad Press Club.

Haider said Prime Minister Imran Khan should not think that issuing simple statements in response to the Indian bombing was enough.

“Remember, this will create problems in the future. This can also cause distance. [between the Kashmiris and Pakistan], "he warned.

The AJK prime minister said that statements like "I have asked the troops to remain alert" will not bring any comfort to the suffering cashmere.

"Why don't you attack their [India’s] military positions? If they shoot Jura, why don't you attack the headquarters of his Tangdhar brigade [across the LoC in Neelum]?

Haider said that the people of Azad Kashmir were mature enough not to be content with "lollipops."

He clarified that he was not speaking as a PML-N leader to a PTI leader, but as the prime minister of AJK to the prime minister of Pakistan.

People living along the LoC would continue to offer sacrifices, but at the same time they wanted India to suffer losses as well, Farooq Haider added.

"Is it written in the stars of Kashmir to receive the bodies of their loved ones, both in Kashmir and throughout the LoC? They should also carry bodies [of soldiers] from Kashmir to India for cremation. "

Mr. Haider regretted that the murders in the Neelum Valley had taken place on Thursday afternoon, but no television channel had broadcast the news even after 18 hours.

“While reports of accident deaths appear regularly, news about martyrdom at the hands of the infidels in the LoC finds no space. This gives us pain, ”he said.

"I want to know what is the point of suppressing this news?"

Earlier, the prime minister urged journalists to highlight the sufferings of cashmere through all means.

"We have to make sure that there is no friction in our ranks based on ideologies," Farooq Haider emphasized.

Earlier, the head of the Department of Public Relations, Raja Azhar Iqbal, told the audience that the buildings for the press club and the Press Information Department would be completed in two years at a cost of Rs125,755 million.
