With the launch of the Galaxy S26 series completed, Samsung Electronics is now shifting its focus to the next generation of foldable phones. New details about the Galaxy Z Flip8 have been revealed, revealing information about the battery cells that will power the device.
The leak suggests that the upcoming foldable product may not bring a battery upgrade compared to its predecessor.
Battery capacity details
According to the leaked information, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will use two battery cells with model numbers EB-BF776 and EB-BF777.
It is reported that the rated capacities of these cells are 1,150 mAh and 3,024 mAh, for a total of 4,174 mAh.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 used a similar setup last year, with cells rated at 1,189mAh and 2,985mAh. The division between cells was slightly different, but the overall rated capacity remained the same.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 8 with a regular battery capacity of 4,300 mAh, matching the advertised capacity of the previous model. The difference between rated and typical capacity exists to account for manufacturing variations.
The Fold series may lead sales
According to recent rumors, Samsung is expecting the Galaxy Z Fold 8 to outsell the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
If that happens, it will be the first time that the fold model has become more popular than the flip series. According to reports, Samsung may launch a third foldable device this year, possibly a wider book-style foldable device instead of another Flip FE model.
Camera settings may remain the same.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 may also retain the same camera system as its predecessor.
Leaked specifications show that the device will feature a 50MP main camera and a 12MP secondary camera on the external module, and a 10MP selfie camera on the internal display.
If accurate, this would match the camera configuration used on both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
