ASUS has announced three new ROG Strix OLED gaming monitors that aim to bring high refresh rate OLED panels to more gamers. The lineup includes ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen 2, XG27ACDMS, and

All three models are aimed at gamers who want the fast response and deep contrast of an OLED display without paying the price of a flagship monitor. ASUS says this display combines a fast refresh rate, ultra-low response time, and a new anti-burn-in feature that helps make OLED monitors more practical for everyday gaming setups.
Why is ASUS focusing on high refresh rate OLED monitors?
The biggest advantage of the new lineup is performance. Both the XG27AQDMG Gen 2 and XG27AQDMES offer a 240Hz refresh rate, while the XG27ACDMS further improves this to 280Hz. ASUS says that combined with OLED’s near-instantaneous 0.03ms response time, this display is built for competitive gaming where motion clarity and responsiveness are paramount.

The panel also includes ASUS’ OLED Care Pro suite of protection features, as seen on the PG27UCDM. This includes a neo-proximity sensor designed to automatically manage panel behavior when the user is away, reducing the risk of burn-in.
Why are these monitors more accessible than typical OLED displays?
One of the most notable aspects of the launch is the price. The new ROG Strix OLED monitor starts at $599. This is a much lower price than many previous OLED gaming displays, which often cost closer to $1,000. Despite its affordable starting price, this monitor still offers flagship-level specs, including QHD resolution, high refresh rate, HDR support, and OLED’s signature deep blacks and contrast.

The move also reflects broader trends in the monitor market. As OLED panel production increases, manufacturers are increasingly pushing the technology into mainstream price points, making high-end gaming displays more accessible than ever before. For competitive gamers, the new ROG Strix OLED lineup represents a growing change. The combination of ultra-fast refresh rates and OLED image quality now results in a price that’s much less intimidating than previous generations.
