Things get weird in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil tonight (Wednesday, March 11, 2026) as Hype Brazil comes to town for a hybrid grappling/bare-knuckle card inside the Farmasi Stadium.
MMA Fighting’s video captured the moment Sarkisyan pulled the ol’. nate diazThrow a water bottle at Lutherbach. Lutterbach responded by getting up and throwing a front kick and ripping off his shirt. ufc welterweight contender, Carlos FreightThey were among them and quickly escaped, booing and laughing.
Lutterbach jumped on the table but immediately fell.
Silva took action, not to fight or stop the fight, but to dance.
This is probably the least serious fight I’ve ever witnessed in mixed martial arts (MMA). The stage was filled with a bunch of UFC killers who were completely desensitized to violence, and they were all laughing and laughing while it was going on.
The gesture ended with Sarkisyan and Lutterbach embracing it and starting to sing the national anthem along with the crowd.
Much of the promo for Hype Brazil had a similar feel. Silva and Mitchell engaged in one of the best matchups we’ve ever seen. It’s literally putting our heads together and moving forward like a truck pushing at a county fair.
“I’m going to strangle you again,” Silva declared, referencing the fight in which “Lord” tapped Mitchell in the second round at UFC 314.
“I need to brush my teeth.” Mitchell answered.
At the presser, Silva playfully picked up a chair as if to throw it at Mitchell and playfully kicked him. Mitchell responded with a smile and a hug. Beneath all the machismo, these guys are hardcore. We are at an unprecedented level of togetherness with Brazilian voices.
Those lucky enough to be in Rio de Janeiro right now can get a ticket to the event for 100 reais, or $20 USD. Everyone else will have to pay $30 to watch the event on Triller TV.
