ZTBL reduces its fuel usage by 25pc amid crisis

ISLAMABAD – Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) on Monday announced that it has reduced its fuel usage by 25% in liters amid the worsening energy crisis linked to the ongoing conflict in the region. To achieve the desired results, we reduced fuel usage by 25% in liters across the country, including at our headquarters. To this end, all management officers have been advised to play a vital role in ensuring fuel conservation as per business requirements and supporting the current situation in the country. ZTBL management believes that small, collective changes in daily habits can lead to significant fuel savings. “Under the current economic environment, our country faces a serious energy crisis that could lead to fuel shortages. ZTBL pursues national interests while immediately introducing sustainable measures to ensure resilience and operational stability,” the statement said. ZTBL staff, especially field staff, have been advised to use fuel-efficient routes and encourage ‘trip pooling’ instead of individual visits. Management has informed employees across the country to avoid unnecessary physical visits and adopt smart alternatives such as video conferencing and phone calls.
