Are you looking for a different day?
A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If instead you are looking for the Saturday puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Saturday, March 7 (Game #734).
Strands is the latest NYT word game after Wordle, Spelling Bee, and Connections, and it’s a lot of fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

NYT Strands Today (Game #735): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 735 are…
- CLOCK
- SPRING
- HOUR
- DEFEATED
- SLEEP
- FORWARD
- SPANGRAM: SUMMER TIME
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
While I appreciate that all the words in today’s chapters are related to daylight saving time, some of them seem a bit over the top. HOUR? Well, yes, you lose an hour, but by itself it has no connection with the rest of the words. The same goes for LOSING. Maybe they’re even, like in SPRING FORWARD, LOSE TIME… but then the other two would be SLEEP CLOCK, which doesn’t make sense.
Other than that, this wasn’t too difficult to solve, and it was certainly more fun than advancing clocks actually are – I never look forward to the annual battle to set the oven clock to the correct time…
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Saturday, March 7, game #734)
- GLASS
- CUP
- PITCHER
- CHALICE
- STEIN
- CUP
- SPANGRAM: DRINKS
