Donald Trump invites pastors to the White House to pray and seek divine wisdom for the president. Watch the video

Amid the ongoing war with Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump invited pastors from around the country to the White House to pray with him in the Oval Office. Pastors laid their hands on the president and prayed for the protection of U.S. troops while seeking divine guidance and wisdom for Trump during what they described as “difficult times.”

A video released Thursday showed several pastors surrounding the president, placing their hands in prayer, with President Trump standing in the center. Pastors prayed for his leadership, asking for wisdom and protection so he could continue his duties as president.

Senior pastor Tom Mullins said, “I pray that heavenly wisdom will overflow his heart and mind and that the Lord will guide him through these difficult times we face today. We pray for God’s grace and protection for him.”

“Pray for your grace and protection for our military and for all the men and women who serve in our military. Father, we pray that you will continue to give the President the strength he needs to lead our great nation as we return to our nation as one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all,” the prayer continued.

This prayer meeting took place as the United States recently launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran. Washington said the operation was aimed at thwarting Tehran’s attempts to develop nuclear weapons. The operation killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and others and damaged vital military infrastructure.

Iran has carried out retaliatory attacks targeting US military bases across the Gulf, with attacks continuing for a seventh day through Thursday.
