Are you looking for a different day?
A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If you are instead looking for Wednesday’s puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Wednesday, March 4 (Game #731).

NYT Strands Today (Game #732): The Answers

- PUNY
- POOR
- MISERABLE
- SCARCE
- SLIGHT
- NEGLIGIBLE
- SPANGRAM: THANK YOU
- My rating: Hard

I can’t help but feel like some days the Strands Spangram is an afterthought. The current concept was essentially “small amounts”, but GEETHANKS is a bit of an exaggerated phrase that describes the topic.
Anyway, I needed a clue to get started today, but once I had PUNY it was pretty obvious what was going on and I set about finding these FEW, FEW words. The problem was that these types of puzzles are difficult: give me a thread that involves me thinking about words associated with basketball, birthday cakes, dogs, or doors and I’ll be fine; give me one that essentially requires the use of a thesaurus and I’m just not that interested.
To make matters worse, NEGLIGIBLE is essentially a word that is almost impossible to detect when mixed together. So I cheated and used an anagram solver because, frankly, life is too short to spend it this way. Maybe I’m in a bad mood today…
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Wednesday, March 4, Game #731)
