Study of professional fatigue among Ukrainian dentists — participation in the Dental Academy’s scientific project

Occupational burnout among healthcare workers has become one of the most pressing problems in modern medicine. According to international studies, up to 60% of doctors experience symptoms of emotional exhaustion.And in wartime conditions in Ukraine, this percentage could be even higher. Dentists are one of the most vulnerable professional groups. Daily stress, high-precision demands, emotional strain from patient interactions, power outages, and financial instability create a perfect storm of burnout.

dental academy A large-scale scientific study is being launched to investigate levels of professional burnout among Ukrainian dentists. We utilize internationally recognized technologies. Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) Methodology – One of the most accurate burnout diagnostic tools assessing three key dimensions:

✅ personal exhaustion — General physical and mental fatigue
✅ Work-related burnout — Fatigue directly related to professional activities
✅ Customer-related burnout — Emotional fatigue from patient interactions

The survey includes: 33 questions: 10 demographic items (age, experience, specialty, workload) and 23 questions based on CBI methodology. Completion time is: 7-10 minutesThe participant immediate results Provides detailed score interpretation for each scale (0 to 100 points).

The Copenhagen Burnout Index (CBI) was developed by researchers at the Danish National Institute for Occupational Health and has been validated across multiple countries and occupations. Unlike other burnout assessment tools, the CBI provides nuanced measurements across three areas, providing comprehensive insight into the causes and signs of burnout.
