oAs families flocked to Patna’s bustling Durga puja pandals on the afternoon of September 29, poll strategist-turned-neta Prashant Kishor provided a unique spectacle. After convening a press conference, he waved papers in front of reporters as he revealed fresh allegations against some senior leaders of the ruling Janata Dal (U.S.)-BJP government in Bihar. Kishor’s targets were five senior figures including veteran JD(U) minister Ashok Choudhary, deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, health minister Mangal Pandey, state unit chief Dilip Jaiswal and BJP’s West Champaran MP Sanjay Jaiswal. Each claim, new and old, was accompanied by its own legal notices, threats of lawsuits and pledges to publish more documents, making the dispute an immediate legal debate and media spectacle.
