Feud with MLA Venkatachalam
On February 17, AV Raju had alleged that G Venkatachalam had extorted 40 lakhs rupees in exchange for providing job opportunities to his family. However, G Venkatachalam did not provide employment opportunities to AV Raju’s family and did not return the money. On February 21, 2024, former MLA G Venkatachalam responded to AV Raju’s claims by sending a legal notice alleging that all the claims were false and derogatory.

On February 21, 2024, actress Trisha filed a defamation suit against AV Raju for publicly insulting him and making inappropriate comments. In an interview, AV Raju had accused Trisha of giving sexual favors to a politician in exchange for money in 2017. After her demise, many leaders gathered at a resort in Koovathur to pay tributes to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayaram Jayalalithaa. In Trisha’s notice to AV Raju, she requested a public apology from him for his actions and compensation accordingly.
