Abida Parveen is the icon of the Sufi kalams of our generation and her kalaams have played a vital role for many of her followers in search of her soul and direction. Abida Parveen is not only famous in Pakistan, but is respected and lovingly followed around the world. No matter who she is and where she is from, everyone will have one thing in common and that is love for Abida Parveen. Abida Parveen was born on February 20, 1954. She married Ghulam Hussain Sheikh in 1975. Ghulam Hussain was a senior producer at Radio Pakistan and after retiring, she was working with Abida to give her career a direction that was needed. After her death, Abida's daughter now works closely with her mother and manages her programs and commitments. Abida has three children and is very close to each of them.
