
PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz said Friday that it would be very difficult if she cannot accompany her father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, abroad to receive medical treatment. She, however, said that "certainly" should go if her health requires it.
After an appearance before an accountability court in Lahore regarding the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case, Maryam said her uncle, the PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif, had been handling the matter of taking the former first Minister abroad.
"Obviously I cannot travel immediately because the court has my passport," he said, referring to the directive of the Superior Court of Lahore (LHC) so that she delivers her passport to secure her bail in the CSM case.
A source from the Sharif family said Thursday Dawn that Nawaz had agreed to go to London.
"Nawaz Sharif finally agreed to go to London after doctors told him categorically that they had already exhausted all medical treatment. [options] available in Pakistan and traveling abroad is the only option left, "the source had said.
The source also said that Nawaz could go to London this week if his name is removed from the Exit Control List.
Speaking to reporters today, Maryam said: "It is very difficult [for me] that Mian sahib He goes abroad to receive treatment and I cannot go. It will be very difficult for me because I care so much. "
He added, however, that it was a matter of his life and that he should take advantage of the treatment anywhere in the world where it is available.

On October 29, the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) suspended the sentence of the former prime minister for medical reasons for eight weeks in the case of Al Azizia.
Responding to a question about the former prime minister's health, Maryam said he was better. He said that all treatments available in Pakistan, including steroids, platelet enhancement medications and drops, had been used, but were not working.
"Daily, their platelet count is declining," he said, adding that despite exhausting all available treatment options in Pakistan, they have not yet been able to diagnose the cause of the drop in Nawaz platelet levels.
She said that a board of the Hospital of Services composed of government doctors and the private medical board of Nawaz had recommended that the former prime minister go to a specialized center, where a diagnosis can be made as to why his platelets suddenly fell.
She said doctors had added that all available treatment options had been used in Pakistan.
"Every effort possible to save [Nawaz’s] Life must be taken. If you have to go abroad, then you should go. "
The PML-N Vice President was asked if she would participate in the JUI-F Azadi March sitting, in response to which she said: "The policy will continue [my] life but you can't get your parents back. "
"I lost my mother a year ago, now all my attention is on Mian sahib.
"I don't leave him with servants and nurses. I'm with him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
The PML-N leader also dismissed comments on an agreement reached, saying that people who say such things should be ashamed.
Maryam added that she had appeared before the court with great difficulty today. The court suspended the proceedings in the CSM case until November 22.
