UFC 244 Medical Suspension: Diaz, Gillespie Gets Long Term

UFC 244 had a violent effect on the cage, and the medical suspension issued by the New York State Athletic Commission reflected to some extent. Most commissions issue 180-day terms for fighters with major injuries, but New York limits it to 90. And five fighters were given 90-day conditions, including headliner Nate Diaz and main card fighter Gregor Gillespie.

Diaz stopped the doctor with a big cut up and down the eyes in the third round with Jorge Masvidal. Gillespie fell badly with Kevin Lee's head kick and was unconscious for a long time. Thus 3 months.
