Sherry slams govt for ‘one-sided’ accountability

ISLAMABAD: Wednesday Senator Pakistan's People's Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman has prosecuted the government for his prejudiced responsibility.

PPP leaders spoke at the Senate meeting when she blamed the government for mocking herself through the “ unilateral '' accountability process.

"I can't lock down the councils and bylaws to achieve political stability," she said. "The government lost respect by taking revenge from its enemies."

Sherry said the opposition delayed the protest.

"This is the voice of people. We should have taken courage long ago," she said.

Senator PPP said the government is arresting political opponents without trial or comment.

"This unilateral responsibility is mocking the government," she said.

She has always accused Lim of accusing corruption of other political leaders and calling them thieves.

PPP, PML-N, JUI-F and other political parties accused the PTI-led government of counterfeiting opposition leaders.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryalthal, former Railway Minister Kawaja Sadra Peak, former Attorney General Lasana Sanaula and other political leaders were imprisoned for corruption and other charges.

The PTI government, on the other hand, insisted on taking corrective action against all corrupt factors in its country and serving all those who caused losses to national bankruptcy.
