This winter, UFC Washington will meet a pair of tiny bantamweights.
Rob Font vs. Ricky Simon was added to the December 7 card of Washington D.C. Washington Post Reported on Tuesday. UFC officials have not confirmed the game yet.
Font hasn't competed since last December after defeating Sergio Pettis with a unanimous decision by UFC Milwaukee. The 32-year-old was due to meet Cody Stamann and John Lineker at UFC Greenville in June, but both players withdrew due to injury.
Font from Massachusetts hoped to fight on the UFC Boston card earlier this month, but there was no fight for the incident. The font is 2-2 in his last octagon outing.
At the UFC Sacramento co-main event in July, Simon beat Urijah Faber of the UFC Hall of Fame. It was the biggest win in Simon's career, but Vancouver, from Washington, lost through the first TKO.
In this defeat, Simon wins eight straight games, which includes UFC 3 wins against Lanyaiya, Monte Jackson and Merab de Balishvili.
UFC Washington is expected to be headlined by a pivotal match between Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.
