LAHORE – British Royal Couple Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Lahore on a four-day trip to Pakistan.
The royal couple visit SOS Village, Pakistan's Cricket Academy, Bad Shahi Mosque and Shau Khat Kanam Cancer Hospital.
As soon as the royal couple arrived in the provincial capital, they were acclaimed by Prime Minister Punjab Busdar, Chadissar and Governor, and by senior officials at Al-Almaqbal International Airport.
All visitors to the UK were adorned with colorful welcome banners and flags from Great Britain and Pakistan.
The royal visit was over 13 years since Prince Charles and his wife Camilla (prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall) traveled to the country in 2006. Pakistan still vividly remembers Princess Diana's late visit in 1996.
The duke is expected to make his first speech in Pakistan today.
Cambridge Prince William and Duke Middleton and Duchess have separate meetings with Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and CM Buzdar during their visit.
