A completely new version of the Samsung One UI, based on Android 10, is in beta testing. Samsung will be offering a beta to users of the Galaxy S10 family of smartphones. Of course, this means S10, S10e and S10 +. Users of this phone can register to receive the beta using the Samsung Members app. The beta program has a limited number of slots and will first launch in countries such as Korea, Germany, and the United States.
The main theme of this update is minimalism. Samsung has tried to minimize the disruption of the user experience, such as adding minimized pop-ups, built-in loading indicators, and simplified button arrangements.
This new version of the UI offers many upgrades. First, digital wellness tools are included in software updates in accordance with Google’s new Android rules. The tool has features like focus mode, which allows you to snooze notifications for a specific app to get rid of all distractions. It also provides usage statistics to track your smartphone usage time. There’s also a new dark mode that automatically adjusts screen brightness and helps drain your battery. Other features, such as the redesigned camera UI, new control gestures, and screen recording, make it a promising upgrade from the current One UI.
Samsung can also add other devices, such as the Note series, to the beta. A stable release is expected in early 2020.
