Stevie Ray Vaughn died 29 years ago. But interest in the Texas guitar god hasn't really diminished since then. This month Houston is hosting two events about Bonn and his music.
The first is Friday at the Jung Center. Tracy Anne Hart, a photographer from Texas, has taken him through his short career and will showcase her work and participate in his work and his discussions. Hart is involved in completing another new photo book, built around November's photographs, with another event taking place in November. The book will be officially released in March 2020 by Texas A & M Press. Information about her appearance on Friday can be found here.
And on October 25, Alan Paul and Andy Aledort, who wrote a definitive article about Vaughan's life and music, appear on Cactus Music to discuss "Texas Flood: The Inside Story of Stevie Ray Vaughan." They discussed this book with us earlier this year.
