The body of Zoya Naz, 23, who was performing night service at the women's headquarters, was found in a pool of blood Tuesday morning, according to a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident recorded in a complaint of the deputy superintendent of Gadani prison.

However, when the director of the jail went to open the door of the women's barracks at 6 in the morning, an inmate informed him that the Russian prisoners at the facility had murdered Zoya "brutally" during the night.
Police officers found the midwife's body lying in a pool of blood by the barracks door. According to the FIR, the prisoners told police that around 12:30 a.m., three Russian inmates strangled Zoya with a rope and repeatedly hit her head with a block of cement and her face with a stone. According to reports, the victim died instantly.
The three Russian prisoners, who were nominated in the FIR registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Criminal Code of Pakistan, have been imprisoned in Gadani prison for the past five months, according to Shakeel Ahmed Baloch , The prison superintendent. They were arrested in Quetta under the Foreign Affairs Law; Although his jail sentence was over, they were transferred to Gadani prison until the legal procedure for deportation at the Russian consulate in Karachi was completed.
Hub Assistant Superintendent of Police Naveed Alam said DawnNewsTV that the police discovered in their initial investigation that the Russain prisoners, who were Muslims, had argued with the deceased midwife about a religious issue.
More investigations into the murder are under way.
