Ushna faces Sarah in National Ladies Tennis final

ISLAMABAD-Ushna Suhail defeated Sara Mansoor 2-1 to advance to the women's single event finals at the National Ladies Tennis Championship 2019 on Saturday at Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex. In the second semifinal, former Pakistani No. 1 Sarah Mehboob routed Meheq Khokhar in a straight set to meet Ushna in the champion's final. Ushna started the game with controls and took the first set to 6-4. But after playing well on the first set she ran out of gas and lost the second set 2-6. She regained confidence in the third and set of decisions while playing great tennis to pressure the opponent. Ultimately, she won 6-4 sets to advance to the finals. The second semi-final was one-sided, with Sarah completely dominating in the game. She played good tennis and took the first set 6-0 before winning the second set 6-1 for her final date with Ushna. Meanwhile, Ushna / Sara qualified for the women's doubles final after beating Esha Jawad / Noor Malik (6-0, 6-1), while Sarah / Meheq won the second semifinals. Shimza finally won the U-18 title after defeating Zahra Suleman, 6-2 and 6-0. Shiza Sajid won the U-14 title and Hania Minhas sealed the U-10 title with a victory over Zunaisha Noor, 4-1 and 4-0. The award ceremony will be held today, hosted by IPC Secretary-General Akbar Hussain Durran.
