Indian security forces killed four suspected combatants in occupied Kashmir on Saturday, police said, while the disputed Muslim-majority territory boils under a blockade imposed by New Delhi after it revoked its constitutional autonomy in August.
Three were killed in the Jammu Batote market area, where, according to officials, they had allegedly taken as local civilian hostages inside their home.
The hostage was rescued unharmed, a spokesman for the central force of the reserve police told reporters.
