Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) #MobilityFirst Special Open Call: South-South Mobility

Deadline: rolling basis

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) #MobilityFirst Special Open Call: South-South Mobility 2019 application was invited; the driving force behind this special mobility call comes from the recommendations detailed in the 2018 Global Report-Cultural Policy Restructuring-UNESCO Global South Repeats inappropriate approach to funding opportunities for artists and cultural professionals.

Global South generally refers to low-income countries, underdeveloped countries, culturally marginalized countries and regions, and generally has no influence to express interest and demand for the global sector.

Given the inequality and ongoing inequality of mobility opportunities for artists and cultural professionals of the ASF through Mobility First! Travel grants and Cambodian Living Arts jointly request mobility assistance that prioritizes South-South mobility.

Through this collaborative collaboration, ASEF is looking for:

  • Promote cultural exchange between countries in the world's southern hemisphere
  • Inclusive Opportunity Guarantee for Cultural Professionals
  • Increasing diversity of cultural professionals involved in exchange and collaboration

eligibility

  • Bangladesh, Laos, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Mongolia, China, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam
