Marlon Vera called the fight against Jimmy Rivera almost three years after he was scheduled to fight at UFC Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Vera was ready to fill the injured Brian Caraway at the January 2017 event, and Rivera initially accepted this fight but changed her mind and withdrew from the bout. \u201cEl Terror\u201d later explained that he refused to fight because he had nothing to gain.<\/p>\n

Recently speaking with MMA Junkie, Vera explained why he wanted to resume the fight with Rivera.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want Jimmie Rivera. \u201cI think all rank people are the perfect fight. We had to fight The fight was announced. He withdrew with a stupid excuse.<\/p>\n

\u201cI'm sure of one thing. I will end his career. He is over and old, but he has a good number next to his name. It's so sweet to take it away. \u201d<\/p>\n

In five fights dating back to August last year, Vera said Rivera's recent fight at the UFC was not his old fighter. After 20 undefeated careers, Rivera lost three of his last four UFC appearances.<\/p>\n
