Since the Indian government revoked article 370 of its constitution on August 5 (stripping occupied Kashmir of its special status), a strict blockade and blackout of communications has silenced the region silently. Now it has been in place for 63 days.<\/p>\n

Another Democratic presidential candidate, US Senator Bernie Sanders, called the Indian movement last month to annex occupied Kashmir as "unacceptable."<\/p>\n
Last week, the American congresswoman pioneer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the blockade of communication and life-saving medical care in occupied Kashmir "must end", as she expressed her support for the people in the disputed territory.<\/p>\n
