{"id":5036,"date":"2019-09-24T21:34:55","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T16:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/umang.pk\/2019\/09\/sri-lanka-squad-arrive-in-pakistan-for-odi-t20-series-sport\/"},"modified":"2019-09-24T21:34:55","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T16:34:55","slug":"sri-lanka-squad-arrive-in-pakistan-for-odi-t20-series-sport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umang.pk\/ur\/2019\/09\/24\/sri-lanka-squad-arrive-in-pakistan-for-odi-t20-series-sport\/","title":{"rendered":"Sri Lanka squad arrive in Pakistan for ODI, T20 series &#8211; Sport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/umang.pk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Sri-Lanka-squad-arrive-in-Pakistan-for-ODI-T20-series.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Sri Lankan national cricket squad arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday expressing confidence in the host&#39;s promises of security for the next matches between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ten senior players citing security concerns have chosen to leave the tour, which includes three international one-day matches and three Twenty20 matches, starting Friday.<\/p>\n<p>But the rest arrived in Karachi on Tuesday night and were transferred to their hotel under great security.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty20 squad captain Dasun Shanaka said he had no doubts about returning to Pakistan after they played a Twenty20 international in Lahore in October 2017, the first since the team attack in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#39;ve been there before,&quot; Shanaka told reporters just before the team left Colombo, where they were blessed by Buddhist monks dressed in saffron.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am satisfied with the organized security for us and I am happy to take my team to Pakistan.
