Following last night’s (Saturday, March 14, 2026) UFC Vegas 114 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, promotion officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that both fighters were taken to the local ‘Sin City’ hospital for precautionary reasons after sustaining injuries in their respective bouts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The fighter Stephen Asplund<\/strong> and harry hardwick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Asplund (7-2) was submitted for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face after a grueling three-round battle with . Vitor Petrino<\/strong>He lost by unanimous decision. The bout was a back-and-forth brawl early on, with Asplund dropping Petrino in the opening round and eventually fading away as the fight continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cConcrete\u201d saw his four-game winning streak come to an end, but the loss didn\u2019t cost him much. The heavyweight prospect has been highly competitive with former top 15 fighters and continues to build a fan base thanks to his fun fighting style and colorful personality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, Hardwick (13-5-1) was taken to the hospital for a precautionary CT scan of his head, face and chin after losing a potential \u201cFight of the Year\u201d contender against the UFC rookie. Marwan Rahiki<\/strong>. The fight was stopped between rounds after Hardwick suffered a broken jaw in the second frame.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHoudini\u201d is currently 0-2 inside the Octagon, with both of his fights coming by stoppage. Hardwick will likely be sidelined for six to nine months while recovering from the injury, but his willingness to put up a hard-fought fight with Rahiki will likely keep him in the UFC’s good graces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Scan results for both fighters have not been released at this time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It’s common for the UFC to send fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially if they’ve been involved in a three-round fight full of damage or suffered a nasty knockout.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
