The board of directors of the new company will have equal representation from both parties. &quot;The RCom-Aircel combination will create a strong operator clearly ranked among India&#8217;s top four telcos by customer base and revenue, and also among the top three operators by revenue in 12 major circles,&#8221; both companies said in a joint statement.<br \/>RCom is India&#8217;s fourth largest telecom operator with nearly 110 million customers, while Aircel is fifth with 84 million subscribers.<br \/>RCom had a market share of 9.8 per cent, while Aircel had a share of 8.5 per cent.
