In 2016, Sangita Kumari was selected for the junior national camp and made her junior debut for India in the same year at the Five Nations Invitational Hockey Tournament in Valencia, Spain. In the same year, she represented the Indian women’s hockey team at the 4th Women’s U18 Asia Cup in 2016, scoring eight goals and helping India win the bronze medal with a 3-0 win over South Korea. In 2018, Sangita was part of the Indian team at the 2018 Asian Youth Olympic Games Women’s Field Hockey Qualifiers where Team India won the silver medal.
