Alinejad, a long-time critic of Iran’s clerical leadership, recently posted an emotional video reacting to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.\u201cYou are finally dead, you are finally gone, Ali Khamenei,\u201d he said in the clip, his voice breaking. She was also seen hugging strangers in New York, gestures she later described as acts of survival rather than celebration.Alinejad has consistently urged Western governments to take a harder line against Tehran and criticized what she sees as inconsistent support for Iranian women protesting state repression.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Harris said about the attacks on Iran<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Harris criticized the president <\/span>donald trump<\/span> about the recent strikes while speaking in Madison, Wisconsin, on March 1 during a promotional tour for his memoir \u201c107 Days.\u201d<\/span>He called the attacks an unauthorized \u201cwar of choice\u201d and accused Trump of dragging the United States into a conflict without congressional approval.<\/span>"Over the last 48 hours, Donald Trump has dragged America into a war we don’t want,” Harris said. He added that he opposed a regime change war in Iran and described the operation as a \u201cdangerous and unnecessary gamble\u201d with American lives.<\/span>At the same time, Harris acknowledged that Iran remains a serious threat and said the country \u201cshould never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.\u201d He argued that American troops deserve leadership marked by \u201cfirmness and discipline.\u201d<\/span>Harris also disputed Trump’s claim that Operation Midnight Hammer had \u201ctotally and completely destroyed\u201d Iran’s nuclear facilities. <\/span>While Trump said the enrichment sites were destroyed, intelligence assessments suggested the attacks may have set back Iran’s nuclear program by months to a few years, rather than eliminating it entirely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is Masih Alinejad?<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Born on September 11, 1976 in northern Iran, Alinejad began her career as a journalist in 2001, writing for reformist newspapers such as Hambastegi and Shargh. After the controversial 2009 Iranian presidential election and subsequent protests, he left Iran and then settled in New York.<\/span>She became internationally known for launching the My Stealthy Freedom campaign in 2014, encouraging Iranian women to share unveiled photos in protest against mandatory hijab laws. The movement later expanded to initiatives such as White Wednesdays and My Camera is My Weapon, positioning social media as a form of civil resistance.<\/span>Alinejad presents \u201cTablet\u201d on Voice of America’s Persian service and has collaborated with media outlets such as The New York Times. His memoirs, The Wind in My Hair, became a bestseller.
