President donald trump ordered federal agencies to stop using Anthropic’s technology "immediately,” raising tensions between Silicon Valley and Washington.U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth sharply criticized the company in a strongly worded statement: "This week, Anthropic provided a master class in arrogance and betrayal… Our position has never wavered and never will waver: the War Department must have full and unfettered access to Anthropic’s models for every LEGAL purpose in defense of the Republic.”He added: \u201cAnthropic’s stance is fundamentally incompatible with American principles.\u201d Hegseth further ordered the War Department to designate Anthropic as a \u201cnational security supply chain risk,\u201d prohibiting contractors from engaging commercially with the company, while allowing for a six-month transition period.<\/p>\n

While your competitor takes a heroic and principled stance, you rush to close the deal.
