The Apple MacBook Pro 16 still has bragging rights when it comes to the maximum available storage capacity on a traditional laptop. <\/p>\n

Apple uses a proprietary approach, connecting memory chips directly to the motherboard to achieve 8TB of storage, while only a handful of vendors even offer 4TB PCIe SSDs.<\/p>\n

OWC has recently joined Sabrent as the second consumer provider to offer a 4TB NVMe PCIe M2.2280 SSD. OWC's Aurora P12 costs $ 1,149.88, while Sabrent's offer, known as Rocket, is available only $ 849.99 from Amazon<\/u> (approximately \u00a3 690 \/ AU $ 1,335).<\/p>\n

Why does it matter? Well, because you can plug two into a Windows laptop to match the 8TB capacity of the MacBook Pro.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't deliver globally, so international customers may have to use a specialized package forwarding service if they want to take advantage of the deal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There is only one laptop provider in the world (Eurocom<\/u>), that we know of, includes your laptops with these 4TB drives, and they are not as cheap or portable as Apple's slim and thin mobile workstation.<\/p>\n

Apple charges $ 6,099 for the top of the range 16-inch MacBook Pro<\/u>,<\/u> while Dell unfortunately stopped driving 2TB PCI NVMe SSD with its 64GB XPS 15 laptop<\/u>. <\/p>\n

As for the Sabrent Rocket, it's an x4 model that comes bundled with Acronis True Image software, Toshiba's BICS3 flash, and Sabrent's RKT303 driver. Its performance speeds can be up to 3,450 MB \/ s (read) and 3,000 MB \/ s (write).<\/p>\n
