It's an event where viewers, expert grapples from Damian Maia and Ben Askren meet. Let's take a closer look at the best performances and techniques of the night!

Best grapple

The entire tagline for the main event last night was "Who is the best grapple in the world?" Two fighting professionals with intense kickboxing skills will fall, so be sure to hit the mat early and often.

The problem is that this was still a fight. If Colby Covington or Kamaru Usman are forced to compete in a fight against Demian Maia, the ruleset determines the winner. In their actual fight, it was the striking and heart of the two that proved that the two elite welterweights were excellent fighters.

Surprisingly, the blow and the heart may have turned out to be the deciding factor.

Askren suffered some damage last night with his terrible rights and uppercuts, but his amazing foundation was terrible, eating a lot of left hands in the middle and chin. The speed of rushing on the feet and the terrible scramble on the mat made the two tired for the third time, but Maia could actually rely on his basics. He continued to ask Askren a cross and crouching knees. When Askren returned to his wrestling roots, Maia prepared and quickly swept the opponent.

Askren couldn't do it with his fellow masters on the mat because he had his scratches on his feet and didn't have a chance to rest. It is not clear that his wrestling or jiu-jitsu disappointed him. Because in the bout he got along well with Maia. But thirdly Askren no longer had to do so and paid for it.

how? Why? again?!?

Michael Johnson is the opposite of Yoel Romero and Brian Ortega. For some reason, he went off in the third round.

Last night was simply the latest example. The first round was a huge win for Johnson, setting the tone early with a quick s and kick. The two turned it on for the second time, but it was Johnson's powerful left hand to tear the opponent's face and lead him.

Johnson continued to go on for the third time, putting too much into the rally and leaving his back for about two minutes. It should not be a death sentence for an old veteran, but Ray was able to withdraw almost immediately. One minute later, Johnson flattened out. He was lucky that the strike did not stop the game.

After all, judges misunderstand this: Johnson would nod his head in the strength of the first two rounds or a bout. At the same time, it is disappointing to see this situation happen again.

The secret of trade

Heavyweight Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is about power, but as a result tricks and settings are very important. The speed and punching form are great, but the only way to guarantee the ground while missing the opponent is to deceive him completely.

Cyril Gain is really good at such tricks.

In the second UFC match opposite Don & # 39; Tale Mayes, Gane actually turned around the octagon and set up a good shot. He repeatedly used large marching stages to suddenly change his stance with an instant power shot. Gain's left-handed left-foot kick proved to be a brutally effective weapon, so the French began to show big switches with their left-handed hands to blast the enemy with their right hand or stab to the left.

But not all flashes and deceptions. Here is the basics of Gane. In this fight, Gane hit the leg before entering a powerful hook-cross combination using the default kick counter. Gane's kickboxing timing has also been extended to wrestling.

Finally Gane stepped on the heel loop for the last 30 seconds. Gane sat in the top spot and cruised for a definite victory. But the hold was well done and scored Gane's first leg lock finish in a heavyweight UFC fight for many years.

Thinking further

Beneill Darsh defeated Frank Camacho through a first round submission. Last night Dariush's victory was simply perfect. He picked Camacho for about a minute, struck a home kick and landed his left hand in a smart setup. Then he knocked down the enemy, jumped over his back and secured his neck crank. Camacho is not a joke on the mat or feet, but I don't know if he truly had a strike once.

Sergey Pavlovich defeats Maurice Greene in a first round knockout. Right hand vs. weight class Right foot kick battle is puncher vs. I prefer kickers. In the heavyweight category, there are obvious advantages for anyone aiming at the chin, at least with the exception of the Pat Barry type. When Greene kicked his leg and did so effectively to some extent, how did this fight proceed? However, he did not have enough usual height / reach compared to Russia, which allowed him to land more often than Pavlovich's right hand could safely absorb.

Rome Lookboonmee Defeat Alexandra Albu Through a unanimous decision: The first Thai player to advance to Palestine was victorious. Albu has grown quite large and was able to actually make quite a difficult shot, but otherwise Lookboonmee really showed her Muay Thai skills. At Clinch, Lookboonmee was particularly effective despite the size shortcomings, as he was able to kneel a bit and smooth sweep and throw.

Complete UFC Fight Night 162: “Maia vs. Click here to see “Ask Askren” results and play-by-play!

The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) announced its presence at the Singapore Indoor Arena in Kalang, Singapore yesterday (Saturday, October 26, 2019) for UFC Fight Night 162.
