Subedar Tanaji Malusare was a military leader of the Maratha Empire in Chhatrapati Shivaji. He is remembered as a battle of Sinhagad in 1670.<\/p>\n

In 1670 Tanaji was convened by Shivaji, and at a meeting said that Shijiji had to recapture the Condana Fortress near Pune from Mughal. Tanaji and Udaybhan had a furious fight when Udaybhan broke Tanaji's Dhal, but Tanaji tied the cloth in his left hand for protection and continued the fight. Udaybhan tricked Tanaji and killed him. Suryaji and Shelar Mama (old Sardar of the seventies) retreated to this, killing Udaybhan. Marathas succeeded in recapturing the fort in the Mughals.<\/p>\n
