Photography programs are offered at staff, bachelor's and master's levels worldwide. Students in photography programs learn how to prepare for photography, use lighting techniques, and operate the camera. Students in this degree program learn how to use traditional film and digital media. Typically, the two-year Associate's program introduces students to the basics of photography, such as lighting and camera operation, while the bachelor's and master's programs offer advanced courses in photo journalism, digital photography, and photo editing. The latter two degree programs can provide practical experience in on-campus and suburban environments such as studios or newspapers.<\/p>\n

Cambridge Summer Institute Photography Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Cambridge Summer Institute offers programs for college and university students, as well as graduate students to spend an unforgettable summer study in Cambridge, UK. The age limit for this course is 28 years old and the delegate must be a student at the university. You can live in a university dormitory, study in the classroom, and enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Cambridge Summer Institute offers a variety of topics and courses offered by qualified instructors, tutors, doctors and university professors at Magdalene College, the constituent university of the University of Cambridge, UK.<\/p>\n

Courses offered at the Cambridge Summer Institute program include:<\/p>\n

  • International Business and Management Program<\/li>\n
  • International Relations and Politics Program<\/li>\n
  • History program<\/li>\n
  • Engineering program<\/li>\n
  • Natural Sciences-Biochemistry Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Each summer session lasts for two weeks and students will participate in intensive lectures according to the chosen course topic. In addition to the lectures, the program also balances many social events and activities, such as famous places and historical landmark trips.<\/p>\n

    Participate in the Cambridge Summer Institute to gain insight into British culture while meeting and learning lifelong friends from all over the world. In addition to that, you also have the opportunity to get a scholarship.<\/p>\n

    The Cambridge Summer Institute offers photo scholarships to participating students who enjoy photography. Students are selected as official class photographers. If successful, you will receive 100 GBP tuition fee when the session is completed.<\/p>\n

    To get a photo scholarship, you just need a passion for photography and a quality digital camera. Unfortunately, photos taken with your phone are not allowed.<\/p>\n

    When you are elected as a photographer, everything is up to you. You can capture serious learning moments, silly game moments, and moments of slightly emotional farewell. When you are finished, share your photos with the Cambridge Summer Institute. Do this with an SD memory card, USB, or contact the Institute for other sharing methods. You can also share photos on Instagram.<\/p>\n

    The lab uses pictures in two ways. Upload the best photos to Facebook with welcome photos and farewell evenings from the album in the session. In addition, photos are used on the Cambridge Summer Institute website, photo fields and brochures.<\/p>\n

    Body McDowell Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    The Outdoor Writers Association of America Inc. (OWAA) sponsors the Bodie McDowell Scholarship Program for tomorrow's communicators. The Bodie McDowell Scholarship Program is open to all college students in all areas of communication and journalism and in all schools. Scholarships are generally offered to three or more students each year. The annual distribution varies, but individual bonuses range from $ 1,000 to $ 5,000.<\/p>\n

    To receive the Bodie McDowell scholarship, you must have clear and important goals in outdoor communication, work examples and recommendations. Academic achievement is considered but not one of the top three selection criteria.<\/p>\n

    Beneficiaries must be students in the field of outdoor communication, including print, photography, film and tape media, art or broadcasting. This scholarship program is open to qualified undergraduate and graduate students.<\/p>\n

    You can submit your application and supporting materials on paper or digitally.<\/p>\n

      Johnny Moore Green Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

      The Nanpa Foundation currently awards Janie Moore Greene scholarships to students enrolled or approved by higher education institutions that specialize in photo studies. The scholarship is $ 1,000.<\/p>\n

      Requirements for applying for the Janie Moore Greene Scholarship Grant include:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Currently enrolled or admitted to a higher education institution specializing in photo studies. This includes a two- or four-year college, art \/ design school, or photography school.<\/li>\n
      • Undergraduate and graduate students can apply.<\/li>\n
      • Scholarships are paid directly to the higher education institution where the student has registered or will enroll.<\/li>\n
      • Relatives of the members of the Selection Committee are not eligible for this award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        To apply, complete and submit an online application. All applications must be submitted online. Mailed applications will not be accepted. Please attach all relevant materials to the online application.<\/p>\n

        National Press Photographers Foundation Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

        National Press Photographers Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization (NPPF) is responsible for developing photographic journalism by providing education, scholarships and scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated their ability or commitment in the field of visual journalism. The scholarships awarded by NPPF are for students who study full-time or return to college. The scholarships mentioned below are available to students attending four-year colleges in the United States.<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Harden Documentary Photo Journalism Scholarship: $ 2,000 scholarship for students working in Documentary Photo Journalism. Scholarships can be awarded to stills or video photographers.<\/li>\n
        • Sony Photo Journalism Scholarship: A $ 2,000 scholarship award for Student Photo Journalism Excellence. Sony funded This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students.<\/li>\n
        • Bob East: A $ 2,000 scholarship is offered to both undergraduate and graduate students.<\/li>\n
        • Reid Blackburn: Only undergraduate students are eligible for a $ 2,000 scholarship.<\/li>\n
        • Bob Baxter: $ 2,000 scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students.<\/li>\n
        • Kit C. King: $ 2,000 scholarship opportunity for graduate students only.<\/li>\n
        • Jimi Lott: $ 2,000 scholarship for undergraduate students only.<\/li>\n
        • Rich Clarkson Founders Scholarship: $ 2,000 scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students.<\/li>\n
        • NPPF Stills and Multimedia: $ 2,000 scholarship for photo journalism students to focus on stills and multimedia. Scholarships are only open to undergraduate students.<\/li>\n
        • NPPF TV News: $ 2,000 scholarship for TV photo journalism or video professional multimedia students. Scholarships are open to undergraduate students.<\/li>\n
        • Advanced Storytelling Workshop Award: $ 1,000 waiver of registration fee available only to NPPA members who work as professional video photo journalists wishing to attend the NPPA Advanced Storytelling Workshop. Candidates must be current NPPA members and work full time as a video photo journalist for at least two years.<\/li>\n
        • Gordon Yoder News Video Workshop Grant: A $ 1,000 scholarship is available to TV photo journalists who want to attend the NPPA News Video Workshop. Candidates must maintain a full-time job for at least one year in television station, network or cable news operations.<\/li>\n
        • The competition, run by Kappa Alpha Mu and University of Missouri Schoolism journalism of the year, recognizes the work of students who are currently pursuing a degree. NPPF Booster Club is $ 1,000 Col. The William Lookadoo Award and the $ 500 Milton Freier Award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          James Allen Cox Foundation for Student Photo Journalists<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

          Founded in commemoration of the television photo journalist James Alan Cox, the James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists provides financial support to high school and college photographers Aim to. Through a variety of funds, including equipment purchases and scholarships for college and technical school classes, the Foundation's mission is to expand educational and development opportunities that show interest, talent, and financial needs to student photographers.<\/p>\n

          The application process for this year starts on July 15, 2019, with a deadline of November 15, 2019.<\/p>\n

          The award types are:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Five high school students are awarded five digital cameras.<\/li>\n
          • Scholarships of $ 2,500 will be awarded to five college or technical school students. Four awards are for video work and one award is for still photos.<\/li>\n
          • One graduate student is awarded a $ 2,500 scholarship. The award is for video work.<\/li>\n
          • 1-2 honorable scholarships of $ 1,500 are awarded to 1-2 college students. The award will be awarded in video or prize. Awards awarded annually in this category are at the discretion of the Board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Scholarships will be announced and awarded from early December to mid December.<\/p>\n

            AIGA Worldstudio Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

            AIGA Worldstudio scholarships benefit minority and economically disadvantaged students studying the fields of photography, illustration and design at American universities. Scholarships are awarded annually to artists and designers to promote social and environmental responsibility and cultural awareness. Scholarship recipients demonstrate their talents and needs as well as their willingness to give back to the larger community through their work.<\/p>\n

            Basic scholarships are awarded in the amount of $ 2,000 \u2013 $ 3,000. At the jury's discretion, you can receive up to $ 5,000 of one or two top prizes. Winners are awarded $ 500. Each scholarship is paid directly to the recipient's school and applies to the tuition fee. For the first time, winners will also receive a year of AIGA membership.<\/p>\n
