You also cannot request a travel document and your passport will remain in police custody.

After Hussain appeared before Judge Emma Arbuthnot, the charge against him was read. He pleaded not guilty.

The Crown Prosecutor Service (CPS) requested that Hussain be granted a conditional bond. The conditions sought included a restriction so that Hussain did not transmit any message, whether in video or audio, through social networks, radio, television or the Internet to people in the United Kingdom or abroad regarding this case or comment on the political situation in Pakistan.

Then, the court went into recess when the prosecution lawyers and Hussain discussed the conditions of bail. He was subsequently granted bail.

The next hearing of the case will be held in the Central Criminal Court on November 1.

Some supporters of MQM had reached the court before Hussain's appearance.

Accused of & # 39; encouraging terrorism & # 39;

Hussain, who had appeared today at a London police station after his bail expired, was charged by detectives of the Met Police Terrorism Command.

"Altaf Hussain […], from Abbey View, Mill Hill, NW7, was charged under section 1 (2) of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2006 for encouraging terrorism, "Met Police said in a statement on its website.

The charge as stated by the UK police is that Hussain "On August 22, 2016, a speech was published before the crowds gathered in Karachi, Pakistan, which would probably be understood by some or all members of the public who were published as a direct or indirect stimulus for commission, preparation or instigation. of acts of terrorism and at the time he published them, he intended to be encouraged so much, or was reckless as to whether they would be so encouraged.

Met Police said: "Hussain was previously arrested on June 11 on suspicion of intentionally encouraging or assisting crimes contrary to Section 44 of the 2007 Serious Crimes Act.
