A Pakistani army soldier was martyred when the Indian army resorted to ceasefire violations of the entire control line (LoC), the army media wing said Thursday.<\/p>\n
The shooting also left a civilian dead and 14 others injured, authorities said.<\/p>\n
"The troops of the Indian army resorted to the violation of the ceasefire in the Baroh and Chirikot sector [the] LoC [As a result] Sepoy Naimat Wali embraced martyrdom, \u201dPublic Relations Between Services (ISPR) said in a statement. <\/p>\n
The Chirikot sector is located in Azad Jammu and the Haveli district of Kashmir (AJK). <\/p>\n
In response, the ISPR said, Pakistan army troops attacked Indian posts, damaging them "substantially." There were reports of casualties of Indian troops, the statement said.<\/p>\n
It was believed that the soldier was martyred on Wednesday night, when two civilians, Perveen Akhtar, 50, and his daughter Saba Tariq, 15, were also injured in the Seerhiyan village of the Chirikot sector. <\/p>\n
