ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will make an official visit to China from October 7 to 8 with the main agenda of "reactivation" of the stagnant projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).<\/p>\n
"The elimination of all bottlenecks in CPEC projects and their timely completion is the top priority of the government," the prime minister reiterated while presiding over a meeting in the economic corridor on Wednesday. He said he would soon visit China and meet his leadership to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.<\/p>\n
It has been known that most of the CPEC-related projects have stalled due to certain reasons, including the prevailing financial crisis facing the government and the "non-cooperation" of the bureaucracy due to "fear of the National Office of Responsibility."<\/p>\n
The Minister of Planning and Development, Khusro Bakhtiar, informed the meeting about the projects related to CPEC and the progress made so far.<\/p>\n
The railroad minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, informed the meeting about the Main Line-1 (ML-1) projects that are being executed to establish a new railway line from Karachi to Peshawar under the CPEC umbrella.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking at an awards ceremony for seminary students, Imran says the uniform curriculum will be presented in March next year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Education<\/strong><\/p>\n
In addressing a prize-giving ceremony for motherssah students who had performed distinctively in examinations of meetings and seminars on contemporary education, the prime minister said that the government's plan to introduce a uniform curriculum in the country I would implement in March next year so that all graduates could have the same opportunities to grow in their practical life.<\/p>\n
"Graduates of the new education system will understand religion, contemporary knowledge and science and technology."<\/p>\n
He said the government planned to synchronize the entire education system to create social harmony in the country, adding that reforms were being introduced in the education system that would help raise the lower part of society with the provision of equal opportunities for progress.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the plight of the cashmere, the prime minister said that eight million people had been locked in an open jail in which occupied Kashmir had become for two months.<\/p>\n
At present, Prime Minister Khan said, three educational systems were in vogue in Pakistan, which was generating injustices and divisions in society. "The government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had decided in its early days that seminary students will be given contemporary modern education so that they can also obtain important positions in different professions," he added.<\/p>\n
Underlining the importance of education, the prime minister said that Islam placed special emphasis on education and that "Muslims had ruled the world for 700 years not by the sword but by education." "Muslims are weak today mainly due to lack of education," he lamented.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister of Education, Shafqat Mahmood, said a uniform curriculum was being prepared for private and government-run schools, as well as for mothers.<\/p>\n
He said that measures were also being taken to ensure that seminary students take exams of contemporary education boards, and this process is expected to be completed in three or four years.<\/p>\n
