However, even if you ensure a suspension against the court's decision, Suri will lose his position as vice president as soon as the disqualification notice is issued.

Qamar also requested the speaker to issue production orders for the arrested MNAs Asif Ali Zardari, Khurshid Shah and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. He also welcomed MNA Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar, who were recently released after prolonged imprisonment.

Taking the floor, Dawar thanked the opposition for demanding their production orders, especially Bilawal Bhutto and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. He also thanked civil society, social networks and other political parties for raising their voice for him and Wazir.

By shedding light on the circumstances of his arrest, he said that he and Wazir had gone to express solidarity with those who protested against security forces for carrying out search operations and collecting people.

He alleged that when the two arrived at the Kharqamar checkpoint to register their protest, direct fire opened against the protesters. He alleged that 15 people died on the spot and another 40 were injured in the shooting.

He regretted that, instead, the FIR was registered against him and the protesters for "attacking" the checkpoint, and denied the accusation that protesters carried weapons. He also said that if you can prove that the protesters carried weapons, "they [the protesters] must be hung publicly in D Chowk. "

He also asked why an FIR had been registered against him for an FDI attack against army troops despite the fact that he had been in jail when the attack occurred. "And who is responsible for the murder of the 15 people? [protesters] in North Waziristan? ", she asked.

He also criticized the media and television channels for fainting the activities of the Pashtoon Tahaffuz Movement (PTM).

He criticized some federal ministers, specifically Murad Saeed, for what he called "issuing statements against us." [Wazir and Dawar] in our absence. "

Dawar regretted that his loyalty to the state was being questioned, and warned that the time will come when the state would have to demonstrate its loyalty to the people.

"A whole generation of Pakhtuns have become victims of terrorism," he lamented.

Upon taking the floor, Communications Minister Murad Saeed recalled that he had stated that Dawar had "connections" with the National Security Directorate (NDS) of Afghanistan.

"I respect my words," he said, recalling that the NDS had refused to hand over the body of the abducted police officer Tahir Dawar to the Pakistani authorities, saying they would hand the body over to Mohsin Dawar alone.

Saeed further said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had been fighting for peace in Waziristan.

"We opposed [US] drone attacks when you supported them, "he said.

Openings for reconciliation

Defense Minister Pervez Khattak said he was "ready to mediate the matter," but Dawar and Wazir "would have to ensure that their agenda is only for Pakistan."

He said that if the two "will speak against the institution that guarantees peace and security in the country, nobody will listen to them."

He also said that the army wants to return from Waziristan. "If your agenda is Pakistan, you can have conversations; otherwise, no."

Interior Minister Ijaz Shah made the same proposals for reconciliation.

He said the incident that took place at the checkpoint and the language used by the PTM against the army was documented and reported by the media.

"Even so, we are ready to move on. If PTM wants to become a conventional party, it should present its demands and I will take those demands to the Prime Minister [Imran] Khan, "said Shah.

He said there was no one after the PTM, but his supporters must demonstrate their loyalty to Pakistan.

Source: https://www.dawn.com/news/1508201/opposition-demands-election-for-vacant-deputy-speaker-seat

Days after the dismissal of Qasim Suri as vice president of the National Assembly by an electoral tribunal of the Baluchistan High Court, the opposition has asked President Asad Qaiser to announce an election for the vacant position.
