The PML-N formed a committee on Monday to hold consultations with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and other opposition parties before committing to a final date for its protest against the government.<\/p>\n
The formation of the committee was announced by the main leader of PML-N, Ahsan Iqbal, who spoke with reporters after a meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the party chaired by its president, Shahbaz Sharif, in Lahore.<\/p>\n
He said the PML-N will cooperate with each movement that aims to bring down the PTI government, including the long march proposed by the JUI-F scheduled for October.<\/p>\n
However, Iqbal said that most of the meeting participants had agreed that the protest would be postponed until November because the PML-N needed to "fully mobilize" its ranks for any anti-government movement. In this regard, the party has formed divisional committees to accelerate mobilization efforts.<\/p>\n
He said the party will recommend the JUI-F to immediately convene a & # 39; conference of all parties & # 39; of the opposition so that other parties participate so that the protest is a success.<\/p>\n
The head of the JUI-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, had announced last month that his party had planned a long "decisive" march to overthrow the current government in October. <\/p>\n
