      UK major oil BPs are being drilled under new names in Texas and Louisiana.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      BP started BPX Energy as a new operating company for complex drilling operations almost a year after acquiring $ 11 billion in land-based North American assets from Australian conglomerate BHP. With statewide footprints that include hundreds of leases in the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford Shale and Haynesville Shale, BPX Energy is headquartered in Denver and registered with the Texas Railroad Board in August.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      BP America has submitted more than 1,300 drilling permits throughout Texas since January 2002, and BHP has filed nearly 1,100 cases since July 2013.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      In the past two months, BP has submitted 28 drilling permits to the Railroad Commission under the name BPX Energy for a project split between the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale.<\/p>\n

      Recently formed Titus Oil & Gas plans to develop four horizontal wells in Reeves County. Located in the company's Nighthawk State lease, this well targets the Ford West field in the Wolfcamp Geological Formation to a total depth of 9,634 feet. Founded in May and based in Fort Worth, the company has filed 10 drilling permits by this year.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      Houston-based Verdun Oil & Gas sticks to the First World War theme. Named after the Western French Front, Verdun gives the World War I name to the oil lease. The company licenses the development of three horizontal wells for Eagle Ford Shale in a Teufel Hunden lease in McMullen County. Teufel Hunden or Devil Dogs was a nickname given to US Marines by German soldiers in the Battle of Belleau Wood.<\/p>\n

      \n <\/strong><\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      Tyler oil and gas company Tanos Exploration plans to develop four wells in Harrison County. Three horizontal natural gas wells in the company's Mia Austin lease target the depths of up to 11,096 feet, targeting the Carthage field in Haynesville Shale. In the company's Jenkins A lease, the vertical gas definition reconstruction is aimed at the blocked area of \u200b\u200bthe geological layer to a depth of 10,800 feet.<\/p>\n

      Atmos Energy, a Dallas natural gas company, plans to complement a horizontal well for renting Dallas Dallas gas storage units near Lewisville Lake in Denton County. This reservoir targets a total of 2,933 feet of Dallas Dallas Lake in the Strawn Geologic Formation.<\/p>\n
