PPP President Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari accused "selected media and commentators" on Sunday of "exaggerating" the speech of Prime Minister Imran Khan at the 74th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), saying that the prime minister did not make a solid case for the plight of the occupied residents of Kashmir.<\/p>\n
"Our selected prime minister is appreciated in our selected media, but those who know the plight of cashmere and the history of their struggle understand that the Pakistani government can play a vital role for our cashmere brothers," said Bilawal.<\/p>\n
The PPP chief criticized Prime Minister Imran's speech at the UNGA, saying it was a "previously scheduled speech that we knew he would deliver before [India’s August 5 move] occurred ". <\/p>\n
Bilawal said the prime minister should have focused solely on the Kashmir crisis instead of raising other problems. Bilawal also regretted that the prime minister did not emphasize the disputed state of the Kashmir territory in his speech, saying that "some people might think that you have accepted this status quo."<\/p>\n

The legislator said that while it was important to highlight human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, the prime minister should also have spoken about the UN resolutions that grant Kashmir residents the right to self-determination. <\/p>\n Bilawal repeated his party's stance that the prime minister had not done enough to highlight the situation in occupied Kashmir, which has been under an unprecedented blockade since India revoked the special status of the region on August 5.<\/p>\n "How many countries does he have?
