RAWALPINDI: A cleric was arrested on Friday on charges of sexually abusing a mother-in-law student in the Dhamial area of \u200b\u200bSaddar Bairooni police. <\/p>\n

The arrest was made on the basis of a medical examination of the 12-year-old student. <\/p>\n

Police said that after the incident was brought to CPO notice Mohammad Faisal Rana, he ordered SP Saddar Rai Mazhar Iqbal to take action against the suspect after conducting a medical examination of the child. <\/p>\n

After the police went into action, the suspect along with other people tried to prove his innocence and shouted slogans against the police. <\/p>\n

After the medical examination showed that the child had been mistreated, the suspect was arrested. <\/p>\n

However, the police decided to perform a DNA test. <\/p>\n

A case was registered with the police for the complaint of the victim's father. <\/p>\n

SP Iqbal said: "All measures will be taken to investigate the case on merit, including conducting a DNA test and other legal formalities." <\/p>\n

The CPO ordered the SP to investigate whether the cleric had also sexually abused any other child and if any such report arises, a FIR can be registered separately for each crime. <\/p>\n

If the family does not want to become a whistleblower due to social pressure, the police will be the whistleblower in the FIR, the CPO added. <\/p>\n
