LAHORE: The entire Kasur police chain of command, including the district police officer Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani and the SP Investigation, were suspended after the recovery of the bodies of three children. <\/p>\n
IGP Arif Nawaz took action against them following the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, who expressed serious concern over the Chunian scandal and declared them responsible for the delayed action. <\/p>\n

Those who do not act in the interest of the common man will be taken to the task." He also said that the IGP was eliminating Kasur DPO, SP Research, DSP and SHO in question. <\/p>\n The prime minister said there was an important review in the Kasur police and that the investigation had also been ordered. <\/p>\n Senior police officer Zahid Nawaz Marwat would replace Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani and the order would be notified soon. <\/p>\n Surprisingly, the decision came after the Punjab government formed a five-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and appointed Qaisrani as its chief to carry out an investigation into the killing of children. The new head of the JIT will be announced shortly, while other members are the Kasur SP investigation, Shahbaz Elahi, and representatives of the Intelligence Office and the Department of Combating Terrorism, Punjab. The former SP researcher, Qadus Baig, also became a member of the JIT taking into account his previous experience in the case of little Zainab. <\/p>\n The IGP also suspended the subdivisional police officer of the Chunian Circle (SDPO) and the SHO on the recommendation of another committee set up to establish the responsibility of the police officers for not taking appropriate measures in the recovery of missing or abducted children. Measures were taken against them on the report of the committee headed by the additional branch of internal responsibility of IG, Azhar Hameed Khokhar. <\/p>\n The committee was assigned the task of finding out failures and negligence of the police officers involved in the delay in locating the children who were found murdered two days ago. <\/p>\n Additional IG Inam Ghani operations confirmed to Dawn<\/em> that all senior leadership of the Kasur police had been removed from the posts. He said the DPO and other police officers faced actions for not taking timely steps to track and recover missing \/ abducted children. <\/p>\n He said the IGP had also formed two more teams and sent them to Kasur to complete their tasks. One team is made up of analysts and IT experts who will conduct geo-fences of the areas where children's bodies were found and use technology-based experience to track cases, while the other team is made up of forensic experts. who have been assigned the task of guaranteeing DNA evidence of children, their parents and suspects. <\/p>\n "Kasur police have arrested 10 suspects and forensic teams have taken their samples for DNA tests in addition to those of four children and their parents," Ghani said.
