Mexican forensic experts said Tuesday that 119 plastic bags were filled with 29 bodies, and the city was dumped on the bottom of a well outside the western city of Guadalajara.<\/p>\n

Jalisco State Prosecutor Gerardo Solis was recently swept up by a violent wave of about cartel turf wars.<\/p>\n

Officials told a press conference that the total could come as experts continue analyzing the ashes.<\/p>\n

Mass grave<\/strong><\/p>\n

Experts are uncovering how many victims have been in the mass grave since it was discovered in a secluded area called La Primavera, a 45-minute drive from Guadalajara, Mexico's second city, earlier this month.<\/p>\n

"Forensic anthropologists and analysts are investigating other body parts to determine how to increase the number of body parts," said the New York State Special Prosecutor for the disappearance of Blanca Trujillo.<\/p>\n

Trujillo said 27 of the victims were male and 2 were female.<\/p>\n

The authorities have identified four so far.<\/p>\n

All four have been reported missing by the family. Trujillo said three people had criminal records.<\/p>\n

Forensic experts have been working on the site with the help of trained dogs and heavy machinery since their discovery on September 3rd.<\/p>\n

In May, another lump tomb with 30 bodies was found.<\/p>\n

Drug cartels<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the government deployed troops to fight powerful drug cartels in 2006, more than 3,000 tombs have been found in Mexico with more than 5,000 bodies.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of a controversial military operation, more than 250,000 people have been killed in this country. Many experts condemned fragmented cartels in war with the army.<\/p>\n

Another 40,000 people are missing in Mexico.<\/p>\n

Home to the violent Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Jalisco is one of the hardest hit states.<\/p>\n

The government deployed 1,400 troops to Jalisco in March and added another 1,800 defense forces four months later, and this left-side President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was at the center of his strategy to curb violence. It is a newly established unit.<\/p>\n
