{"id":3597,"date":"2019-09-15T11:01:57","date_gmt":"2019-09-15T06:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/umang.pk\/2019\/09\/ex-pm-cameron-slams-johnson-over-brexit\/"},"modified":"2019-09-15T11:01:57","modified_gmt":"2019-09-15T06:01:57","slug":"ex-pm-cameron-slams-johnson-over-brexit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umang.pk\/en_us\/2019\/09\/15\/ex-pm-cameron-slams-johnson-over-brexit\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-PM Cameron slams Johnson over Brexit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div class=\"line textcontent_img watermark\">\n<p>Former British Prime Minister David Cameron, in his memoirs released Sunday, launched a violent attack against British current leader Boris Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>He took office in July, believing that a campaign that would allow Britain to leave the European Union during the 2016 referendum would make him the \u201crepresentative\u201d of the Conservative Party.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>He said he personally believed Johnson needed a second referendum to confirm Brexit&#39;s terms.<\/p>\n<p>In an excerpt from the Sunday Times newspaper, Cameron (which led the &quot;leftover&quot; campaign to stay in the EU) was accused of &quot;rib&quot; rivals lying to the public.<\/p>\n<p>He said that one of Johnson and his Cameron&#39;s close friends, Michael Gove, was &quot;an ambassador for the era of populism that destroys experts and truly twists during the campaign.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>52-year-old Cameron has blinded the public since he set foot on the historic Brexit vote results.<\/p>\n<p>However, the publication of his memoirs took place at an explosive time, and the UK fell into political turmoil ahead of the scheduled exit from the October 31 block.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson desperately seeks to negotiate a divorce with Brussels, but insisted that Britain would not leave even if needed after Congress blocked a \u201cno deal\u201d exit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 &#39;I was leaving&#39;\u2013<\/p>\n<p>Cameron said he was trying to stop Johnson from participating in the Brexit campaign.<\/p>\n<p>But he went on to say that &quot;because it contributed to a political career, it led to unbelievable results.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Johnson believed that the &quot;Leave&quot; camp would be lost, and that if it were won, &quot;new negotiations could follow and a second referendum could follow.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;When the Tori politician takes the initiative on the Brexit side, people who are full of patriotism, independence and romance will be the most beloved of the party,&quot; Cameron said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"line textcontent_img watermark\">\n<p>During the campaign, Johnson and Gove said, &quot;It has become an ambassador for the populist era, attacking their own government, blindly turning to their nasty behavior, destroying experts and truly twisting.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Cameron condemned the savings campaign&#39;s claim that Britain ended the EU entry fee and reduced the likelihood that Turkey would join the block.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe were no longer spreading the truth, but in the realm of totally abandoning it.
