ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top investigative agency on Saturday declared former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi guilty in case related to alleged disclosure of state secrets, popularly known as the cipher case.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted the chargesheet against Khan, the president of the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and his deputy Qureshi, both currently detained in prison on judicial remand, before a special court set up under the Official Secrets Act, Pakistan Observer website reported.
Khan, 70, was arrested last month after a case was filed against him for allegedly violating the Official Secrets Act by revealing a secret (encrypted) diplomatic cable sent by the country’s embassy in Washington in March. <\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
