PEOPLE cited in its latest report on the matter, sharing that the star had filed a petition against the release of the body camera footage. He cited in the documents that the release of the footage was an invasion of his privacy.The official statement of the submitted petition shared that \u201cpublic dissemination of this material would cause serious and irreparable harm to [Timberlake\u2019s] personal and professional reputation, theme [Timberlake] to public ridicule and harassment, and serve no legitimate public interest.\u201dHis lawyer also cited that releasing the images would reveal and \u201cexpose very personal details unrelated to public oversight of government operations.\u201d Timberlake and his legal team filed the complaint in Suffolk County Supreme Court. They also requested that Timberlake and his legal representatives review the body camera footage. The release of the video had been requested under the Freedom of Information Act. <\/p>\n
