Muhammad Wasim became eligible to play for the UAE in April 2021 after meeting the ICC’s three-year residency requirement. In October 2021, Waseem was selected to play for the UAE in the 2021 Summer T20 Bash tournament. On October 5, 2021, he made his T20I debut against Namibia at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Five days later, against Ireland, Waseem scored his first century in T20I cricket, hitting 107 not out from 62 balls.<\/p>\n

On February 6, 2021, Northern Warriors became champions of the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 after defeating Delhi Bulls in the final. In the 2021\u201322 Abu Dhabi T10, he played for Chennai Braves. He represented Fujairah in the Dream 11 Emirates D20 in 2020\/21. Waseem finished the tournament with most runs (534), highest average (53.40) and most 50+ scores.
